Re:Breast Feeding vs. Formula By iluvandy 6 Months, 2 Weeks Ago Well its sounding more and more better! I have made my decision to do breast milk. So I would have to pump when I go back to work and with me being a nurse that will be hard to do don't ya think? Well I will do whatever it takes to provide my baby with the best things that it needs. Thanks for the info

Re:Breast Feeding vs. Formula By CariannDS 6 Months, 2 Weeks Ago I have a friend who works at a hospital, she's not a nurse but she said they have pumping facilities at the hospical. You don't even need to lug your equipment back and forth. Check and see if they have that at your hospical or do you work in a doctors office? As long as you get a lunch hour you can pump. My work allowed me to break my lunch our up so I could pump three times a day for 10 to 15 minutues and then I got 15min. to eat my lunch. But you can do it all right at lunch.

Re:Breast Feeding vs. Formula By iluvandy 6 Months, 2 Weeks Ago I'm hoping to get a job in a doctors office. I'm just a CNA, but some doctors offices around here hire them so thats what I really want to do. Maybe they will allow me some time to do it. I just dont want my breast to leak all over me and soak my shirt! That would be embarrassing!!!!!!

By Jess 6 Months, 2 Weeks Ago I wasnt going to reply to this thread when i saw it the other day but now i have to.
I just wanted to say although breast feeding is wonderful it is not the be all and end all!!! This is coming from a mum that had to stop breatfeeding on doctors advice. When my son was 8 days old i started to hemorrhage due to retained placenta. After having a curette my milk dried up and i was asked if i wanted to put my son on formula or take medication to bring my milk back in. I chose to take the tablets. i than went on to have three bouts of mastitis over the next 6 week. The third time i got it i ended up with septicemia and was extremely ill. This is when i was told to stop feeding as i needed injections to get myself better. I cried for days as i felt guilty as everyone tells you that you have to breastfeed. The point to my story is i really wanted to breastfeed and it just didnt work for us. (Through no lack of trying) My son is almost 8months old has been crawling since he was 5 & half months and has never been sick. (Touch wood) My son and i are very close as is my husband & son. He is a very healthy & happy little boy. I think it is great if you can breastfeed but i dont like it when i hear people say you wont bond with your baby if you dont that is rubbish. I wish you all the best with your future pregnancies and hope that you and your baby have no trouble in the feeding department.
