I'm Having Quintuplets: My Story: room questions
By Lizzie 6 Months, 1 Week Ago
My husband and I have some questions about my future children's room situation. We don't know if each child should have their own room, or if they should share. We live in a 4 bedroom 3 bath home. Right now we are thinking of having the 3 girls share a room and the 2 boys share. What do you think?

Do not make them share a room. It's just asking for trouble. As they are small children they may think it fun, but as they get older and into their pre-teen years, they'll be begging for a seperate room, or major fights will break out.

I always figured that when they get older they'd want their own space, but as little babies they won't really care. In my home, there's two other rooms in the basement that we could use in the future. But right now, I'm not comfortable having my newborns two floors away. That's not the smartest idea.

Sharing rooms now while their babies will probably be quite benifical. And while they are little they can easily share everything. but down the line you will want to break them up so they can have privacy and space. Your just lucky the house will have space for them to all have their own rooms down the line. maybe when the boys are 7-8 you can start considering putting them down in the basement. By then they will think its pretty cool. Good luck with your 5.

I think sharing a room will be fine. Especially when they are little. When i was little my brothers shared a room. I think its whatever the kids get use to. I think the babies will like being near each other cause thats what they are use to. You may find that you will end up putting the babies together not based on gender but on sleep patterns. Say if you have 2 that sleep really well but keep getting woken by their siblings you may end up putting them in a room together.
Good luck with your babies.
