I am about 5 weeks pregnant with my first child. I just found out.. I have been spoting a little only when wiping there's nothing in my panties and no clots there has also been a slight cramp every now and again not quite like a real cramp but a twinge.. I am worried my first doc. apt. isn't untill friday should I go early? or is this normal?

Usually, its normal, but every pregnancy is different. I would go to the dr. early just to be sure. I was spotting with one of my pregnancys I didnt worry about it then miscarried the next day, its better to be safe then sorry, good luck hun

I had this problem at 6 weeks. Only I was bleeding pretty bad. I didn't have any insurance and I went to the E.R. Almost $2,000 later they said everything was fine and that it was normal. They called it a threatened miscarriage, but that dosent really mean anything. It is very scary to see blood when you are pregnant, but dont freak out. Have you had sex recently? Sometimes that will make you spot, or an internal exam. Some women even get their periods until the second trimester during pregnancy. Try to just relax and drink lots of water (that might help with the cramps.) And if you are really worried than go to your doctor's. It's probably nothing, but you'll feel 100x better just the same.

Yes it may be nothing. I'm 7 weeks now and spotting my doctor said it is very normal to do so! If you are not filling up a pad an hour and or you do not have really heavy cramps i am sure everything is just fine.

Thank you to everyone who posted and for all well wishes. I did found out what the spoting was. I was pregnant with a tubal ectopic. I had a methotrexate shot to end the pregnancy my doc. said I was very lucky to find it when I did because it was early enough that no damage happened and my tube is still good. Were hopeing to concieve again very soon and the doc has given me the ok so wish us luck. and thank you again!
