Definately not the smartest idea.
Why would anyone want to risk an infection, or even worse.

YES YOU CAN GET AN EPIDURIL. I HAVE A LOWER BACK TATTOO AND I HAD AN EPI WITH BOTH OF MY BOYS. THE ONLY THING IS IF YOU HAD GOTTEN THE TATTO I THINK WITH IN LIKE 1 YEAR-18MONTHS BEFORE THE BIRTH THEY MAY PUT THE EPI JUST ABOVE THE TAT INSTEAD OF THROUGH IT.

I agree with everyone. It just seems like a bad idea. And besides, why would you want to get one when you're pregnant anyway? You're all stretched and swollen and you're skin's not like it used to be. You could go in and get tweety bird one day and after you deliver have it looking like big bird!

Do NOT get a tattoo while pregnant, even from a well known shop.
I used to work in a tattoo shop, my fiance is a tattoo artist, I know these things. The risk of infection from the tattoo goes up,this includes staff infections, and thats using brand new clean needles. Your body has a higher chance of rejecting the ink, by that I mean pushing it out of the skin, the tattoo ends up all splotchy looks horrible. Your skin can be a different texture or consistancy than what it normally is, so your tattoo could possibly result in more scarring which means you get a 3 dimensional tattoo, trust me it sounds cooler than it is since you can NEVER have it touched up and it always looks like a faded piece of dung. Also most tattoo artists will not touch you if you are pregnant, or at the very least the shouldn't since it is frowned upon in the industry. And yes quite a bit of this information goes along with piercings as well.
It would be nice if you could get work done, but I would seriously advise against it. And if it makes you feel any better I can't get any tattoos or piercings done, and I can get them done for free. But its all one more thing we have to give up in order to have babies, like smoking, drinking, and caffeine. Just do like something like me and plan to get a backpiece after you have the kid lol. Congrats btw
