I have never heard Nakota used as a name, it seems like usind it as a girls name would be like naming a baby Miffany instead of tiffany or something like that. I am aware of the tribal meaning behind the name, but it seems like Nakota just isn't a real name. I agree that it fits much better with jade than any other name I can think of. The names were for both girls and boys.
