Curious about who is going to be in your delivery room. I've heard friends say their mother (or mother-in-law) requested to be in the room. Is anyone having anyone other than their spouse (or significant other) in the room with them? If not, how will you handle requests?

well my best friend was in the delivery room with me when I had my second child, because my husband was at work and my mother in law was sleepig and she was the only person who could drive me there and stay there for me.

If you don't want a certain person to be there with you just say it's going to be a close/immediate family affair.

At the hospital where I delivered my son, they only allow 2 in the delivery room. But I only wanted my husband to be there, because he's the only other one involved in making this child and it is special for it just to be me and him when our baby comes into this world, and I wouldn't want anyone else in there but us and the doctor and nurse. We didn't even have anyone in there with us when I was in labor, because I wanted that to be our time together. We plan for it to be that way for any other babies we have.

Our families were there, they just waited in the waiting room and came back about an hour or so after our son was born after my husband and I had our time with him. None of them ever questioned coming back there before then, except my husband's grandmother (who is very outspoken anyway) but she understood that she had to wait till after he was born.

well i havent gone into labor yet 5 days and counting til my due date. But i will be having my mom,my sister,my boyfriend,my best friend and maybe my boyfriends sister. It just depends who gets there the fastest lol!! I will not allow everyone who just shows up to be in the room. I also don't want wondering eyes going where they don't belong lol! I'm just not comfortable with everyone staring at where the baby will come out of... so they all know they have to be on my sides the doctor and nurses will be the only ones looking there lol! Am i crazy lol? Im just uncomfortable with that!
