Around that age my son was pretty good, (he's 6 now and dosent eat half the things he ate when he was a toddler) there really wasnt much that I didnt give him that he wouldnt eat. Bananas whe wouldnt touch, still wont.

I don't think it's fair to say ALL toddlers are picky eaters, but I think kids get distracted from food, probably something on tv could distract them for example...I don't know.

My oldest child would eat nothing but breakfast food. Cereal, pancakes, waffles and toast were it for the longest while. Now she will eat apples and bananas, chicken quesidillas, cheese pizza with no sauce and chicken nuggets so it is a bit easier. Our second child eats pretty much anything on the plate. We made a huge mistake with the first one and fed her toast or cereal when we were having dinner because that is what she would eat. If I could go back in time, I would never coddle her like that and encourage the difficult behaviour. I am just so grateful for whole milk and fruit juice that contains vegetables because it is pretty much what keeps her growing.

My daughter would eat any veggies with dip on them she is a very good eater and always has been but i didnt give her the choice of what she wanted just put it there and she ate it.
My dad had her eating raw onions with dip at like a year old sometimes you just have to keep trying and eventually they will eat it. Dip can do wonders though for any fruits and veggies. plus you can always sneak them into other foods you make and they dont even know they are there.
I know that i always made all my food the way i did before she was born and served it that way once she was eating solids so it was never an issue cause thats how it had always looked to her. she was more willing to eat it without question. hope this helps
