Re:Circumcision? By CariannDS 3 Months, 1 Week Ago This is what I found out about cleaning an uncircumcised penis and it dosen't seem so bad:
"Simply wash your son's penis with soap and water during each bath. There's no need to clean beneath the foreskin until it retracts on its own, often by age 5. Then teach your son to clean beneath the foreskin during each bath — gently pull back the foreskin, clean the area with soap and water, rinse and pull the foreskin back over the head of the penis. After each bath, pull back the foreskin again to dry the area." -- By Mayo Clinic Foundation, March 1, 2008

Re:Circumcision? By Seaason 2 Months, 3 Weeks Ago my sons have a problem where their foreskins dont retract, the end is so tight that the foreskins actually fills with urine..ergo they suffer from segma infections....
and b4 u say it, yes i clean them but i cannot use soap as that irritates them.. where i live its hard to get a circumcision for a newborn but i wish i had have fougt harder to get it because it would have been alot easier then having to go thru a surgical procedure when they were 3 - 4 yo

Re:Circumcision? By mommy2many 2 Months, 3 Weeks Ago Wow Seaason my son had the samething. He is adopted so it was not an option when he was born but we had it done at 26 months and we have not had anymore bladder infection or problems down there. I also was very good at cleaning it and we still had tons of problems. He was truely in pain every day of his life. I'm so glad that we pushed to have it done for him. He lived in pain for 26 months because it was not done and was only in pain for about 2 days from the surgery. I'm pro circumcision.

Re:Circumcision? By puck 2 Months, 2 Weeks Ago heres my POV. would you cut off your arm if not medically necessary? i believe it is the choice of the person that is attached to the penis. imagine if someone did it to you without your consent, would you not feel robbed? betrayed? if it is medically necessary, then i can see a parent making a decision for a child, but if it isnt then why? so they dont get teased in the locker room? my husband is not circumcised, has never had any problems with it. no infections, nothing in his 23 years of life. you're still gonna wash it if it is snipped right? so whats the big deal? if my boy is that concerned about it when he is older, i will help him get the information to make an informed decision. as with every hot topic, theres a ton of conflicting information. whatever you decide, please make sure you have all the facts to make an informed decision.

By pgagain 2 Months, 2 Weeks Ago I have five children. Only one is a boy. He is 15 and we elected not to circumcise him. He is fine with it, and he has the right to decide for himself if he so chooses later on. He is caucasion, for those who think only hispanics don't circumsise. A great source of info is nocirc.org listening to Dr. Dean Edell many years ago on the radio convinced me and saved my sons foreskin from being mutilated. It should be illegal since it is torture. Nobody would think it was ok to do this to a girl. When you review the history of the procedure you will be amazed at why this was started. These are things once said to be cured by circumcision: Masturbation, paralysis, hernia, bed-wetting,kidney stones, insomnia, chonic indigestion, rheumatism, epilepsy, asthma, Bright's disease, erectile dysfunction, syphilis, insanity and skin cancer. This was in the late 1800s and early 1900's, and has been proven false. Yet, some people won't let go of the idea. Luckily it is becoming less and less common.

Re:Circumcision? By kais_mummy 2 Months, 2 Weeks Ago my son has been circumcised
i knew when i got with my husband who is muslim about his religion and about circumcision and i agreed to it it upset me when he was crying but now he is jus like any other boy but has had this procedure done i understand not everyone is for it and i agree that it should be a 50/50 decision between both parents
