I think that was a very ignorant statement that was made. If your truly serious you need to look at the future and plan for this correctly. Get a job have money saved up, finish school do all the things you wanna do first. You will prob end up changing your mind. I'm 22 years old and i got pregnant and guess what its not ruining my life. Yes it was unplanned but i have everything my baby needs and more. I also graduated and went to college too i only have 3 monthes of college left before i can graduate which i will be doing shortly after i have the baby. Maybe you need to get some real experience in what it's actually going to be like to raise a child. But i would wait till your at least 18 and your in a serious relationship. But this is a decision only you can make.

I"m 17 years old and 8 weeks pregnant. This all did happen while on the pill. I know my life is going to change And i as a mother have to give up what i have to to make sure my child will be well taken care of. I cant not judge you on wanting to have a baby . It is your choice. But i can give advice. In two years do you think you will have a stable relationship? A job to not only take care of you but that baby you are planning? School well I am going into my senior year of high school and have found a school that will help me with my baby. So there is no reason not to finish. I hope that you can take this into consideration. IT WILL NOT BE EASY BUT IT CAN BE DONE. JUST MAKE SURE YOU ARE READY FOR THE STEPS IN LIFE YPU WILL NEED TO CLIMB.
