The "R" ames - A, E, I, O, and U
By irish.1 4 Months, 3 Weeks Ago
Ok. My friend is 6 months pregnant with a Girl.
She is dead-set on the following names and DH agrees with the first three. "Jo" must follow.
Hyphenated or not ... she would like to choose one from all the vowels - and which end in the EE-sound, but is dubious about the 'U' as she does not like 'Ruby' and neither does DH.

She'd like a few votes on what sounds and which spelling is nicer.
Personally I like 'Remy'. (she has checked and all spellings are uni-sex).

Raynie-Jo / Raini-Jo Lancaster
Remy-Jo / Remie-Jo Lancaster
Rilie-Jo / Ryley-Jo Lancaster
Romy-Jo / Romie-Jo Lancaster
Besides 'Ruby' there is 'Ruvi' ...a bit "off" to me. I think she'll stick to 4 out of 5. She's exhausted and wants to know any "RH' beginnings ending in the EE-sound.
She thanks you in advance.

Ryley-Jo is my favorite of the names listed.

Thanks T ... but she's been thorough alright! 'Rudy' to her is 'Rude' and she said sounds like a pimp and 'Rumie' = "Rheumie" eyes or 'Rheumatic Arthritic"

You're welcome. The only other names I can think of is Ruey but I've only heard it for a boy's name though and Runi (Rooney).

Okay, if you think it's out of 4 and she just wants to know which sounds best I vote for:

Romy-Jo Lancaster (that very popular but sad actress 'Romy Schneider' -dd 1982- the name has always fascinated me even though in her case it was short for 'Rosemarie' ).
Although Remy comes a very close second. Ilove the way those names flow with 'Jo'
All the Best to her!!
