Name stealing
By Chazzie 4 Months, 2 Weeks Ago
Hi

I don't know if you have ever had this happen to you.

I told a friend my baby names that i liked and she told me hers.

Then she had a baby girl and used my name.

I told her my names because i wanted to "book" that name as you can't have best friends with the same name.

I am so bitter. Am i being unreasonable?

You Are Not Being Unreasonable That Was So Unfair Of Her To Go And Name Her Daughter One Of Your Names. i Havent Exactly Had This Happen To Me But Me And My Frend We Liked The Same Boys Name For Ages Aiden But Then When I Fell Pregnant ( The 1st Time ) And I Didnt Know The Sex of Bubz She Stopped Talking To Me Cause She Thought I Was Gunna Name Bubz Aiden But Ended Up Being A Little Girl. So She Was Being Unreasonable. You Are Not!

Thats Really Unfair And If She Didnt Even Consult You Whata Frend She Is.

Just My Personal Opinion.

Thanks so much for your reply.

WOW that is terrible. Some people hey?

What even makes it worse. She is my sister in law so it would have been cousins with the same name.

I had asked her before she had the baby what names she liked and she said Emily so i said That is my name.... i then felt so bad cos i am not even pregnant and might not ever have a little girl so i then said "Don't change it". BUT i would have done the decent thing and not used it or atleast phoned and checked how i really feel-

Now i am cross with myself for telling her cos she is that type of person. BUT anyway will find a better name i guess.

Oh Thats Guttering Sister-In-Law.. Wow!
Ive Never Been A Big Fan Of Emily But That Sucks
But You Harldy Ever Name Your Kids What You Planned So You Could Of Had A Baby Girl But She Looked Nothing Like A Emily And Instead You Named Her Savannah And Then You Could Of Had 5 Other Girls And They Looked Nothing Like A Emily So That Name Could Of Being Given To Your Niece? So Think of It Like That And Maybe You'll Feel A Little Better Bout Her Stealing Your Babys Name.
