Ok so my husbands sister is 11 almost 12.
And she is out of control.
She drinks.
Shes experiments with drugs.
Sneaks out to meet boys.
Has sex with boys 2-5 years older than her.
Already been pregnant once.(miscarriage)
Her dad knows all of this, but she gets grounded for 2-3 days max.
His theory is that if he trusts her to go out with her friends and make good decisions, in turn she will make trust him enough to be be open and honest with him about everything.
I don't think this theory is very affective.
What do you think?
And what would you do in this situation?

(And is it even my place to give an opinion? Im only trying to look out for her.)

You know you never know... she could just be acting out because her dad is letting her do whatever ever she wants... and she just wants him to care.

yeah new mami could be right shes just acting out because shes begging for attention from her parents

I have to agree. Teenagers act out in different ways to get attention from their parents.

Whoa She Reminds Me So Much of Me But I Wasnt 11 I Was 13-14
But Back To Subject She Is Wanting Attention From Her Dad And Isnt Getting It From Him So Shes Going And Getting Attention From Older Guys. I Dont Think His Theory Is Very Affective Either.
Shes Needs Someone To Talk To Her Whose Been In A Similar Situation And Bascially Tell Her That Shes Not Gonna Get Anywhere Sleeping Around With Guys, Drinking And its Not Cool And Her Father Needs A Talking Too Also

You Should Voice Your Opinion But Be Ready For Shoot It Down But Just Say That Your Worried About Her.
