i was thinking the same thing but i didnt want to sound stupid, and what do you even call her? daughter?

I named my daughter Belle after the Disney character. Her legal name is Isabelle Lauren. If you watch the movie, she is actually called Isabelle at least once. Anyway, we never call her Isabelle, but I wanted her to be able to choose the more mature version in case she decided "Belle" was too cartoonish. There are women named Belle, however and she may decide to always stick to it, but I wanted her to have that choice.

Cinderella is adorable and charming, but how will other children react to it? You could call her Ella or Cindy for short, but she's going to have to give her name many times throughout her life, and I'm sure that more often than not, she will be met with a chuckle.

And BTW, you HAVE to tell us what you call her if she has no name. Does she go to preschool or daycare? You've never applied for her Birth Certificate or Social Security card?

I think you shouldn't let her name herself Cinderella, she may like it at the moment, but she will grow out of it, Disney is childish and as she grows up she will get picked on or at least laughed at.

I am wondering the same thing everyone else is asking... I thought they wouldn't let you leave the hospital w/o a name. The skier, Peekaboo Street, named herself. That was her parent's "gift" to her on her 3rd birthday. She is PEEKABOO for the rest of her life!
