my husband and I really like the name Elliot for a girl. However everyone we say it to pulls a face and says its to boyish. I am not too worried by what they think but I dont want my daughter to be picked on because of it.

Well i like the name & would actually think it was boyish BUT you could shorten it to ellie or ell. x

I've always loved the name Elliot! I wanted to name our next son that but It's one of those vetoed by my husband. As for a girl, I've heard of it being used that way. It would be cute to call her Ellie, but in all honesty, she probably will get a lot of "Elliot? That's a boy name!" I don't know, though, that may change considering the line between boys names and girl's names has been blurring more and more lately!!

well my little girl is called Alex (short for alexandria) which is certainly boyish but I think it's cute. i say this to say i tend to like boyish sounding girl names, but elliot on a girl is seriously pushing the envelope, imo. me no likey.
