How long during the day should a baby spend time on his belly?!?!?

I just looked in the baby book but it doesnt say all It says is that baby should have supervised tummy time every day as long as possible and start it as early as possible

I just wonder because my son hates it... so I almost never do it. And Im afraid that I dont do it enough. He cries everytime I lay him on his belly... so I never want to lay him on his belly.

Try raising him up a little bit. Put a rolled up towel or flat pillow just under his arms, but just enough to elevate him. My kids did not like either especially my oldest one. Any more questions or advice send me a PM and I will try to give you some more advice.

My oldest slept on his tummy so he didn't mind it.My 2nd didn't care to much either way.He was pretty easy going.My 3rd son hated being on his tummy.He was a nicu baby and was on his tummy a little bit here and there while he was in the hospital.When he came home he wanted nothing to do with being on his tummy.So we never pushed it.
With my 2 oldest I would lay them on my legs between my feet and my knees and play with them that way for about 15 minutes or so and then lay them on a blanket on there tummies.I found that to be the easiest way to get them on there tummies without any fuss at all.
