buying children expensive shoes (1 viewing) (1) Guest
buying children expensive shoes By Natalia 3 Months Ago I have a little brother who is around 10 almost 11.
He's a great kid as far as his athletics go but he's a little spoiled. My dad has always felt the need to spoil him after our mom passed when he was 6. Like always buying him the most expensive shoes for soccer, football, running basketball, buying him the best rakets for tennis and the best video games, etc. But it's getting to be a little to much now, like today he lost one of his new D.Wade sneakers that cost my dad A LOT of money and it barely fazes him. How can I help my dad break my little brother of his shoe habbit/spoiled reign?

Re:buying children expensive shoes By Mrshoward 3 Months Ago If you can talk your dad into making your brother save his own money, whether an allowance or whatever, to buy his next pair of shoes, your brother will treat the shoes better because they were bought with his own earned money.

Re:buying children expensive shoes By DONE GOODBYE genevra 3 Months Ago Maybe have a talk with dad, about the things you will need for the twins, and start shopping for them. Maybe, it will put a bug into his ear, and make him think about where he should be spending his money. Other than that, remind him what kind of shoes you wore, when you were your brothers age. That might help. Careful, gentle nudging works with men. He has to come up with the idea himself, you lead his thinking to what you want him to see. Just my advice.

Re:buying children expensive shoes By Natalia 3 Months Ago Yeah okay I know I'll need a lot of stuff for the babies but I don't want to ask just yet because I don't even know the sex yet.
I'll just show him the crib I think I want and I know maybe that will set his priorties straight.

Re:buying children expensive shoes By DONE GOODBYE genevra 3 Months Ago Remember, if you are having twins, you are going to need 2 cribs - and a house, with at least 2 bedrooms. Calmly bring that up when you are pondering with dad.
