Pets?? By happytohelp 1 Month, 1 Week Ago Me and my husband were thinking of getting our children a pet.
We thought about a dog but we don't want to bring another big life into the family while we are still having ours. We thought we would get a dog when our family is completed and it makes it a lot easier. We have 2 horses(Apple and Scarlet)the kids named them. And we take the boys out on them. I have always loved horses and have had 1 from a small age and i want my boys to experience as much as they can because they don't stay little for long. We have fish like anyone else but i wanted an animal that is friendly and gets on well with children and they can play with and the animal will enjoy it aswell? Any suggestions?

Re:Pets?? By Tess 1 Month, 1 Week Ago If you don't want a dog yet, you can give them a cat or a bunny.

Re:Pets?? By puck 1 Month, 1 Week Ago we have a 4 year old german-import wolf/husky x breed named bravo. we've had him since he was a puppy and he is just lovely. we have a 8 year old siam/manx/godknowswhatelse cat named foxtrot, his lady-cat tango who is 7 and a 2 year old tarantula. her name is ralphie.
the dog is the easier to deal with, and very protective of the kids. if you get one at all, i would get it as a puppy so it becomes accustomed and loyal to you. kids can poke at him and play with him and he doesnt mind at all (or at least doesnt show it) fox is ok, but does not tolerate kids well, if they bug him he will give a warning swat, and if you dont back off the claws come out. i think its cause hes an old man. tango is lovely with the kids, she is very sweet and patient. i love ralphie, but she will have to go, because we breed our cats regularly, and want to keep some kittens, and kittens always try to get their liitle paws into her tank, and its unfair to her to be abused by the furballs. omg i just ranted about my pets! what a dork i am. my point was it doesnt matter what type of pet you get so long as they have a good temprament.
