Hello everyone, I was wondering if you could have false pregnancy tests if you are pregnant? Like if you may be a couple of weeks pregnant? O.K. Here is my story, I am 7 days late of my period, and I took two pregnancy tests, one last night and one this morning and they both said negative. I am having symptoms of my period coming on, but I also know that they are symptoms of pregnancy too. Has anyone ever had this happen to them when they really were pregnant? If so please tell me your story! And is it possible to predict if its just a few weeks? Thanks for your help!

a pregnancy test detects HCG levels. if it is below 50, it will most likely come out negative. my tests regularly come out negative, a blood test is more reliable. there are 2 different blood tests, one can tell whether the hormone is present at all, the other tells how much there is.
if you think you are pregnant, i would get your doctor to requisition a blood test to be sure.

It is possible to predict it within a few weeks. I havent had anything like that but i did prove positive on the prengnancy test 3 times but when i went to see the doctor he said there was nothing there. It did get be all worked up for nothing.

I have heard about them though maybe you should take some more tests then if they are still positive go and see a doctor

I havent been sick or anything, but my stomach is tight feeling, and my back has been hurting off and on, and I have been hungry a lot, but not urinating much yet, I dunno, maybe its possible I could be!
