Re:Ear Piercing By KenleyKupKake 2 Years, 5 Months Ago I will get my daughters' ears pieced when she's a couple months. I think it's cute. And as long as you take care of them, I don't see any harm?

Re:Ear Piercing By mommyfaerie 2 Years, 5 Months Ago I like my parents' policy, but modified a bit. My parents told me I couldn't pierce mine until I was 13. I begged for them even before then, but I got them done just before my 13th birthday with one of my friends. I decided I was going to pierce my cartilage when I was 16, but that got grown over again and I now have 3 piercings in each ear and want to get my cartilage redone, but I've been pregnant for almost 3 years straight.
I won't get my girls' ears pierced until my husband and I think they're responsible enough to take care of them themselves and tell us that they want them. We're not putting an age stipulation on it. I just don't want to be responsible for taking care of them for so long when they may not want them when they're older. I'm also afraid they may have inherited my metal allergy, which is why we're waiting 'til they're a little older. I can't even wear watches with any metal on them whatsoever or I break out, and I can only wear sterling silver or gold necklaces or my skin gets irritated. For some reason my ears aren't affected quite to that extent. I can wear regular earrings, but only for short periods of time. I mostly wear earrings that are labeled "sensitive" anyways.

By Karen Jeanne 2 Years, 5 Months Ago My daughter is 2 weeks old and people have been asking me when Im going to get hers pierced already. I don't see anything wrong with getting them pierced as a baby, I think 2 weeks is much too early though. However I plan on waiting because I think it's a really exciting thing for a little girl, like 8 or 10 or so. I don't want to miss that experience of her wanting them and taking her to get it done.
