Hi, I'm so scared. I don't know what to do, or who to tell or what to do next. Sorry if this is a little confusing, I'm so worked up at the moment. I just don't know what to do, I'm terrified. I've taken 10 pregnancy tests and they have all been positive! I just am so lost. I'm only 17, I never imagined this would happen to me. I know I am responsible for this situation but I just never imagined I would be here in this situation, and now that I am I have no idea what to do now. I'm 17, I shouldn't be pregnant yet! I feel so ashamed, I'm a straight A student at one of the top private schools in NYC, I'm a Prefect! I'm so nervous I'm just so scared and have no idea what to do! I'm to ashamed to tell anyone, who do I tell first, my boyfriend? My parents? My best friend? I just, I know this shouldn't have happened but its, argh, sorry I don't even know what to write I have myself so worked up crying. My parents will be so disappointed I can't face them. I don't think I can do this. Not yet. I'm about to be a Senior! I never thought this is how I would be beginning me senior year! I'm so terrified. I'm thankful this site is here, I really don't know where to turn to and I remembered this site form when we used it for short story wirtting project at school to find names for characters. Please, I'm just looking for advice, any advice. I'm so lost, scarred and I really just don't know what to do now.

wow i was crying and writing my first message on here like 3 and a half hours ago, i am also 17 and a straight A student at a good school in Australia... i took 23 pregnancy tests and am pregnant, still kind of freaking out.. but i have talked to so many people on here and they have been so helpful. i have decided to tell my boyfriend first then friends then deal with parents.. i don't know if that would be a good order for you to do it or not? do you know how far along you are???

Hello! I read your post and my heart goes out to you. It is overwhelming enough to be pregnant when you are planning it and that much more so when you are not. You will need to tell your parents as soon as possible as well as your boyfriend. This is not the kind of thing you can or should try to do alone. Now is the time when you need all the love and support you can get. And you will need help planning how to care for your baby- definitely something to not try alone. It is natural to fear your parents' disappointment but you have to believe that they love you and want the best for you- and they will find out sooner or later so they will appreciate if you are upfront. Your boyfriend and his family need to be involved as well- the baby inside you belongs to both of you. In the meantime, check out some websites to make sure you are being healthy so that your baby will be healthy too! Whether you decide to raise your baby yourself or consider adoption, it is your responsibility right now to take care of both of you. This is not the end of the world, but it does turn your world upsidedown for a while. Everything will work out. I will be praying for you.

first of all try to calm down it wontdo you or the baby any good. now if you think your mum and dad will be upset id talk to your best friend whats her mum like? maybe you can all go to your mum and dad and tell them.
now at the min your head will be allover the place you have options depending how far gone you are, your next step is go see your doc and organise a scan then you will have more of an idea whats open to you.
after that i would tell your boyfriend then you can talk it over with him you have keep the baby, adoption, or have an abortion,
it will all depend on what you want and what you feel you can cope with. im in the uk but im sure there are places you can go and talk through you options.
you just have to think of it this way your not the first and you def wont be the last

I'm 22 and was terrified to tell my mother so I can just imagine how you feel. Perhaps try a plan of attack such as figure out which parent would be more receptive to the idea or which ever one will take it more calmly then the other. Then you can approach the second parent together. I agree with every one else. You need to tell them and tell them soon. THis is not something you can do alone. You also need to tell your boyfriend. This will be a trying time for the two of you I'm sure, but it'll also show you the kind of man he is. If you need anything just PM me.

Thanks sooooo much for the support and advice, it was just what I was looking for. I've calmed down and I've thought about it about it all a bit. I've told my best friend about it. She was shocked but shes been really supportive which is amazing. I haven't quite worked up the courage to tell my boyfriend or my parents just yet...I'm still so nervous. My parents are away a lot of the time, its usually just me, my 2 older brothers and our housekeepers at home so actually finding the time to tell them in person will be hard!
