Tomorrow I will be a week overdue and I have got a really stuffed nose, sore throat and chesty cough. I'm scared I will be sick during giving birth as I feel really under the weather... as if being overdue wasn't enough already...

Does anyone have any ideas as to how I could help clear this up a bit? I don't wanna take any tablets or anything... and I can't get in to see a doctor til I'm due to be induced...

Is being sick bad for during labour? I don't want to make my lil guy sick either

Please... any advise would really help

YES! My allergist told me about Neil-Med. Go to Walgren's Pharmacy and ask them for it. It cleans your sinus out and getting out all that infection helps clear your chest and throat too.
I HIGHLY recommend Neil-Med. It has saved me NUMEROUS times!!!!

Oh! Neil Med is a sinus rinse. I use it 3 to 5 times a day when I am feeling really bad and stopped up like a brick. It has saved me from sinus infections a bunch of times. I used to have to get antibotics all the time, but Neil Med has been a lifesaver. I haven't had to have an antibotic for my sinus infections since starting Neil-Med. Hope you get to feeling better.
I also saw on t.v. to help from getting H1N1 to gargle with salt water and use a Q-Tip of saline/salt solution daily. Well, Neil Med is a salt solution so that should help, too!

A neti pot (also called a nose biddet) is a life saver. It looks like a little kids tea pot. You fill it with warm water, add a package of saline solution mix (or table salt if ya like) and lean over the sink while tilting it into your nostril. It cleans ya out like magic. YES! A neti pot is made by Neil Med. You can get the neti pot or the bottle, whichever you choose but it is GREAT!

OH! Make sure it is distilled water. You have to get a jug of distilled water. I use the bottle. I put in the distilled water to the line on the bottle. Put it in the microwave for about 24 seconds. Then the little packet of saline solution in and shake the bottle. Then I sit on my bathroom chair over the sink and squirt thr solution in my nose one one side then the other. Then blow you nose. It is shocking how much infection comes out in the sink!
