Tuna fish and pregnancy.
By traceylovesrj 2 Years Ago
I know you're not supposed to eat fish much while pregnant but I have been craving tuna fish a lot. We put celery and onions and relish and lots of other stuff in it so there's actually less tuna fish in it than any thing else. Any ways. I just was wondering how bad do you think it is that I eat a lot of it? Is it gonna harm my baby?

No, actually you should eat tuna during pregnancy as long as it's NOT albacore, get the canned chunk light instead. Fish is brain food as it contains DHA which is VERY good for your baby. However, there are some that are safe to eat while pregnant and some that aren't. Also, you shouldn't have more than two servings per week.

Tuna is fine for you and the baby, as long as you are not eating like buckets of it a day. It should be safe to eat a couple sandwhiches a week. That is what my pregnancy book tells me.
