I wanted to see if this has ever happened to anyone or if anyone has ever heard of this!
I found out i was pregnant last week with my 4th child, wich i am very excited about. i called my ob to see if she could do a pregnancy test and get an idea of a due date. she said come on in and we'll do it for you. i went in and the nurse asked me if i had any pain i told her just the normall stretching pains, she left the room came back and told me that she would not give me a pregnancy test because it was to much of a liability for them. told me to come back for an app on sept 11! that was like 3 weeks a way and i have had high risk pregnancies! does this sound normall to anyone!

sounds like i would get another Dr or complain to the one i have.
I am high risk as well and because they could not get me in to see my dr untill i was 11 weeks they had me come in for an ultrasound at 8 weeks to be sure everything looked ok. My 11 week apointment is actually tommorrow

It's really scary, I didn't even see this pregnancy coming. And i think i'm alot farther along than i ever was when i found out with my other children. i m not sure what to do. i have had severe pain for the last 5 years and a dozen doc's later i found this doc at a fertility specialty clinic she automatically did a surgery 6 mo ago to remove scar tissue from a bad c- section.so i trusted her since i have been to some crazy docs, and then they say that i am a liability to give a pregnancy test to, it makes no sense at all!

so she is willing to see you or not?
how long is she gonna make you wait to be seen? if you having bad pains and they are not doing anything about it you could also go to your ER and have them check you out to be sure.
something about them calling it a liabilty just sounds weird to me I would get another opinion

She will see me, only after the 11th of September,wich originally was making me wait a month. and telling me they won't even give me a pregnancy test cause it was a liability. so i took the advice and found a doctor that is going to see me next thurs,so hopefully it all works out!Their office said they had never heard of such a thing,and how could it be a liability to pee in a cup??? anyway thanks for the advice!
