By Writer2be 2 Years, 1 Month Ago Wrap them in a blanket so they are cozy (unless it's hot wherever you are), and put them in a bouncy seat with soft music. If they aren't in actual pain, let them cry and do whatever you need to as long as they can still see you. They will notice that you aren't going to leave them and stop crying. Good luck! But if he's not in pain, hungry, distressed or needing to be changed there is no reason why you can't put him down for a bit. By Shann 1 Year, 11 Months Ago Thank you everyone He is much much better with going to sleep now he cries a little bit when he loses his dummy on the odd occasion, but then when I pop it back in his mouth he drifts off to sleep.
