I would have to say maturity level is a high factor on when it is time, not so much age. Although with age comes maturity (for most people). I don't regret my decision to have sex when I have, and I also don't regret not using protection when I got pregnant this time. Both my boyfriend and I want this baby. We weren't actually trying, but we weren't trying to prevent it from happening either. Lol. But we are both in good careers being in the Navy and all. But back to the subject, maturity and emotional stability I would have to say are the two most important factors to decide whether or not someone is able to make such a life changing decision. Because once decided to have sex and loose your virginity, there is no getting it back.

as pretty much everyone else has said, it has to do with maturity. are you mentally, physically, and emotionally prepared for it. to some, sex isn't a big deal, but it definitely is. while it's a great thing, it comes with serious consequences if not handled in an adult manner. i myself, lost mine when i was sixteen. the boy i gave it to was a complete jerk, and he left me not even a week later. then that's when my husband came back into my life. he restored my trust, and proved to me that not all guys are complete jerks. we've been together ever since. i've only had sex with two men in my life and i'm perfectly content with that.
i think that if you're one of the young users on this website, and you haven't yet done it, please wait. wait until you find someone you love more than anything in the world. not only is it more special, it makes it that much more enjoyable. trust me. i regret my first time, if i had waited 2 more weeks i would've been back with my morgie, and he could've been the first. but, everything happens for a reason.

To be truthful there is no age where anyon will be ready for sex.
I lost my virginity when i was 14 with a giy i had only be with for 2 weeks at the time. and i was unfortunate enough to get pregnant when i was 15. I really do wish i had waited for the right persnas Gracies dad is never around.

There is way to much pressure on teenagers to have sex, me being a teenager can justify this.

I'm 15 and I haven't had sex, I'm not going to say I'm an angel because I have come close to it, I am so glad I said no because he was pressuring me into it, he was to old for me and we were both at different points in our life's he was very self absorbed.

Most of my friends have done it, and personally I think it changes a person, I used to have a close friend she started getting serious with her boyfriend and it lead to sex and she became a very cocky girl and now we don't speak any more.

I want to be in a long term relationship with a boy I love before sex enters the relationship, there are other ways to enjoy yourself than sex.

Personally, I don't believe in sex before marriage...period. Hubby and I BOTH waited until marriage bc we have strong views on the issue. I'm 25, and he is 24. We just got married almost two months ago, and we are both so happy that we waited.
