young mum By Antoinette_Tassaud 2 Years, 7 Months Ago okay, so i don't know what you people will think of me, you will probably all be disgusted and i know, you rightly should be, i haven't told anyone yet, not even my partner, i am 17 years old and i am pregnant, i have taken 23 pregnancy tests and every one has come up positive so there is no chance of any thing else i don't think... well my boyfriend is 18 and we have been together since we were 14 and have been having sex for about a year ( i don't no if u needed to know that) always safe sex and there i am on the pill so we didn't think there was really an issue i guess we are both young and uninformed... i don't really know but we are in a committed relationship and i think he will be okay with it, i don't know but we are too young to be parents, i mean being a mum is like the most important thing in the world to me, i want it more than anything but i think i am young and i am kind of freaking out and i don't know what to do..

Re:young mum By susieqzee 2 Years, 7 Months Ago Hello,
1st of all we will not be disgusted. There have been many girls younger than you on this forum who have been pregnant and are now good Mommy's. 1st tell your boyfriend. Then tell your parents. Maybe he will go with you. Then tell his parents.Choose your options. You do not have to be married to be good parents. But if marriage is what you want then maybe your parents will sign for you. Read. Study pregnancy and babies. You have many months to learn what you need to learn. Take child birth classes when the time is right. Find a book called "What to expect when you are expecting." So many have found the book usefull. Do not be afraid to ask questions. No question is stupid. Good luck and bless you. Susi

Re:young mum By Antoinette_Tassaud 2 Years, 7 Months Ago thank you so much, i just called my boy friend and asked him to go out for coffee with me tomorrow, i think i will tell him then, he is very caring and loving so i know he won't leave me or anything like some guys do but i am still worried what his reaction will be..
and my parents i don't even want to think how they will react, i am nervous to tell my dad, he still thinks I'm his little girl he isn't conservative or anything but he thinks of me as so innocent, I'm his only daughter, my mum has two other's from a previous marriage and i think she will take it well, she will be shocked but she will be okay.. god I'm freaking out, you can probably tell right

Re:young mum By Celianne 2 Years, 7 Months Ago I wouldn't take your boyfriend. Bad idea. Your parents (especially your dad) may just kill him.

Re:young mum By Emily_G 2 Years, 7 Months Ago First of all, I don't think anyone here would be disgusted at all! We all have made mistakes, and it is very understandable.
I would probably tell the boy first, followed very closely by my parents. The sooner you do it the easier it would be, IMO.

Re:young mum By Antoinette_Tassaud 2 Years, 7 Months Ago I told my boyfriend today over Coffee, he was shocked at first then a bit scared like i am then he kind of calmed down and hugged me and he was like "its going to be alright" then pretty much just told me that he would be here for me no matter what and that it won't be so bad because we both wanted kids eventually and this was just speeding up the process... i am so so glad i told him... now i just have to tell my parents
