I didnt let my daughters date untill they were 16 and I dont regret it and neither did they. I let them go out in groups and they were pretty honest about it. They knew I would drop in unexpectedly. Kids shouldnt be having sex so young. And those of you on here that argue about it , well it just proves the point that you are not mature enough to handle adult situations. From the lines on the first many pages of this post I would say a lot of you arent even mature enought to have decent calm conversations without getting hostile.

I think you are the one responsible for your child. The decisions with her are yours. If you didnt let her go to her grandmothers I am sure there was a reason. Stick to what you feel is right in your heart. Later on, it will be you having to justify your decisions, so make the ones you feel are best. Whatever they are. Good Luck!

btw I have 7 kids and 2 grands, and noone yet got pregnant in school, assaulted, had stds or a bad reputation....

Purity? What the hell is purity? I really really really can't see what is so horrible about plain sex? As long as you protect yourself from pregnancy and STDs by using a comdom, what is so horrible about expressing your lust with another person? Sex and love might be the same thing to you, but they aren't to many people. What is so terribly wrong with a girl having sex with someone because she's just horny?

What do you even mean by religiously? Perhaps not everyone has the same interpretation of your God's/Gods' words. Not everyone even believes in your God/Gods. And scientifically, women are at their most fertile between 14 and 17 years old, biologically making them super-ready for sex at that age. Girls hit puberty when they're 10-12 years old these days, thus making them "women" in the biological sense of the word. Puberty is when their bodies are made ready for sex. It could well be that they aren't mentally ready, and then they should not have sex. But I don't see the problem if they themselves feel that they want to have (SAFE) sex, simply for the physical pleasure of it.

I disagree. I think that yes, you are very right about us being made to be fertile during that time period and technically physically ready for sex. Unfortunatly I think our society doesnt make girls ready for the emotional and mental aspects of sex. Most, not all, girls that I work with have a lot of emotional baggage after sex. Its not just your body that has to mature.

Thats my opinion.

I agree with Tangerine to some extent. I know lots of girls that have sex just for the enjoyment but that's not me, I have emotional baggage that comes along with it. The only person that I have ever had sex with is my now boyfriend and I don't think it would of been very nice if he up and left me once he got what he wanted...My mum always says that "guy only want one thing from girls, the rest they can get from other guys" It's true to some extent and if I hadn't waited a good couple of months until we had sex I'm sure that he would of just tapped and gapped..lol

I also think 15/16 is a reasonable age to have sex..
