Please help! Does anyone use Craigslist??
By happy2bme 5 Months, 2 Weeks Ago
We were at a huge consignment sale the other day, and while looking for clothes for my son, he found a toy lawnmower and pushed it around...it was so cute, he said "I'm cutting the grass, Momma" Well I didn't buy it because it was completely faded out and in bad shape, but I should have got it anyway since he liked it so much. But now I am looking for one just like it and can't find it ANYWHERE. I did find out it is the Playskool Mike the Mower, the older version...and I found one on Craigslist for $5. But I don't know much about Craigslist, so I was wondering if it's safe to buy things on there? The only others ones I have found are the newer version and they cost around $50 and I'm not paying that...I've looked on ebay and it's not on there, either. So I was just wondering if anyone has ever deal with buying on Craigslist.

We've used craigslist. We used it to seel our trailer. It's as reliable as Ebay, it depends on the person selling/buying. But I doubt someone would put a toy lawn mower on it for five bucks just to jip someone.

I got a table from craigslist. Its good as far as I know. If its not to far for you to go look at it then do that first or call the people and see if they can send you more Pictures of it. Most of the bad things that I hear is when your selling something.

Craigslist is pretty good in terms of buying and selling used items with good deals. I have heard many good cases about it. I know there are criminal and scam cases as well, you just have to be careful. To play it safe, you can schedule a pick up at the seller's place, so you don't have to give out your own address. And bring a friend or family with you. In terms of quality, you can always judge when you see the actual object. Since it is not automatic transaction on Craigslist, so it is pretty much the same as buying things at a garage sale, aka, what you see is what you get.
