TEENAGE PARENTING ARGUMENT
By amylynn91 2 Years, 3 Months Ago
look. ok clearly i have gotten of on the wrong foot with alot of people.
im sorry. yes i understand its a topic from a long time ago and it was ended so it didnt really need to be brought to the surface again.
i understand that at the end of the day you have your views and i have mine. i was never trying to be argumentative i was just trying to voice my opinion and i have obviously gone the wrong way about it.
the way i feel about teenage parents is quite obviously not the same way some of you feel.
so i think its better for me to just agree to disagree.
children are a touchy subject with me, i dont like anyone speaking badly about me or my kids or my pregnancies so thats why i reacted the way i did.
im sorry if i made me feel crap in the process.
im over it so hopefully the topic can just be left alone now.
until some new idiot (like me) comes on and brings it up again.
LOL
once again im sorry.

Okay. The title of the post made me think you'd started a NEW argument, which would not have been good AT ALL.

I posted my reply in the other post. It read...
QUOTE:
The thing is, I am not down on teenage mothers. My sister Kathy got pregnant at 16, my sister Teresa had her first when she was 17, my sister Sarah had her first a couple months after she turned 18 (though she isn't a good example because when it comes to being a mother, a squirrel does a better job that she did). Kathy and Teresa did remarkable jobs. Their children were well taken care of, healthy, smart (too smart). Hailey is 16 and a strong confident Junior in High School. Joey is 14 and he is smart, handsome, and talented (he wrote his first screenplay when he was 8). I mean, these 2 are perfect examples of how teenage parents can do amazing things, but if you ask my sisters if it was easy or fun, they will tell you Hell NO!

If you are a teen and you are pregnant and keeping your kid, more power to ya and my prayers are on ya. If your a teen who has a kid you are raising, you got my prayers to, and any help I can offer. If your a teen (under 18) that is thinking of getting pregnant because "you're ready", I am gonna do my best to convince you that you are mistaken. I could quote studies that say a teens brain is not fully formed especially in the areas of reasoning, but I won't bother. The fact of the matter is, while a child (and yes a teen is still a child) may believe that they can do it all, they can't, legally, physically, and financially, and to go out and get pregnant on purpose (set out with the intent to get knocked up, not accidental) is immature and selfish.

alright so my mom got pregnant with her oldest at 18 and yeah she's not the best mother but now her and my stepdad are super spiritual and try to help us in anyway. i now have 5 older brothers/2 older sisters/and 1 younger sister. Some of us are a little crazy some of us aren't. i'm 15 and i believe 1 mnth preggers. (i know i'm pregnant but just don't know how far along.) Anyway i'm not trying to start aan argument i'm just going to say i think it's ok. it may not be the best of situations but sometimes you could have a 45 year old mother and still not be in a good predicament.

Umm... no offense, but could we please just ignore that post? We do NOT need another argument here, and the original poster created this to apologize for digging up posts that could start arguments. Honestly, don't start arguments here. BAD idea in general. Did you even READ the original poster's post or Bexie's??

Here we go again...
