a.) You can't get the disease you are being vaccinated for from the vaccine. I'll gladly go into details if you like, but the vaccine CAN NOT cause the virus.

This week, At my ob appt. I did recieve the vacine, and I am currently 21 weeks preg. I did hesitate at first but as explained, The # 1 person who is getting really really sick is pregnant women.
A friend of my moms sister was 8 months preg, and she got h1n1, within a week she was in an acoma they had to deliever the baby csection, she is still in acoma,doesnt no she has had her baby, and may not live. It is horrible. so very sad.
I also have 3 children in grade school, who always bring me home germs. So I hope I made the right choice, but to me it seemed best.

As for side effect, I had a lil stomach acke nothing to bad, for about 24 hours, and a lil acky but other then that I was fine. I had a sono today and baby girl seems great. She even waved to us. lol so cute.

UGHH.
Im sorry but im in the hospital day 3. I have H1N1 and will be 15 weeks tomorrow. I didnt go out in public very much or anything, i just went to work and back to my grandmas who does not go anywhere and no one comes over. They figure i got it from work- which is in a nursing home... LET ME TELL YOU ITS PURE HELL. I have not eatten a decent meal in 5 days... Last night @ midnight i had a fever of 103.4, and my blood pressure was 90/50, and my heart rate was 128. Your sort of unconscious have the time you dont know whats going on. When i got taken to the er i didnt even know my own name or my cell phone number I almost passed out. You know when you get a really huge hug from someone, and its really tight? Ive felt like that the last 4 days. feels like someone is sitting on my chest. I cant breath very well. The fevers are the worst you can only take so much tylenol! I was soooo cold i would shake and didnt even want to get out of bed. When these fevers occur I get the worst headches ever... Ever have a migrane? its like that times ten. I havent even gotten to the vomitting and diaherra yet. I had family come see me... I dont even remember them coming. I didnt even know what day it was today. I have slept all the time the last 3 days, and to tell you the truth I would rather be in hard core labor than to have this again, its so much worse. everything hurts, my admonials, throat, and back are so unbelieveably sore. The shot for H1N1 is a dead virus that your body will grow antibodies to, the nasal is a live virus which they wouldnt even consider giving you... since i am pregnant they couldnt give me very many medications and im also allergic to penicillin. So right now i am on camel flu, zofran, macrobid, iv fluids, tylenol, and a couple others but this is the first time since monday i really been with it enough to talk. what ever you do just be careful i wouldnt wish this on my worst enemies!

tymommie- Im so sorry to here you are having such a horrible time. My prayers are with u and ur unborn baby. Please keep us updated on how your doing. I to had the h1n1 and thank god, It passed. So I understand exaclly what you are going through. It was so awfull,sceary, and some people I have talked to are saying oh its just like the regular flu, it is so not. It was exausting, and awfull, and the fevers were the worst.In my whole life Ive never experienced a flu as bad as this was. Thank god, my hubby was here to help. I got it from my kids I have 3 young grade school kids, and one by one they got it, and so did I. Best advice is to keep hydrated, and get lots and lots of rest. which is about all ya can do any way. also once this has passed consider taking the vacine, because my ob said if you get it again, it can be really really bad. even deadly.

Yeah. im thanking god that i made it threw. i am getting to go home tomorrow morning but i am very weak still i dont think they even offer the h1n1 shot around here @ least i havent heard it Lately. It was the worst thing i have ever been threw in my life also, and being pregnant was even worse because you cant have anything i had a scare and im thankful i am making it threw. i just told myself i needed to get threw this my little boy needed me and this baby was depending on me, that seemed to calm me a bit in my worst moments. i have never been so scared in my life though!
