It just sounds like "really". So it kind of sounds "silly". But, like you said, once people get used to it, I'm sure it would be fine. Yet every time she meets someone new, they may look at her weird for a minute. Maybe continue to come up with your own ideas and see if he comes around. Oh, I just noticed this. Is your last name Gilmore? If it was me, I wouldn't use a name that had _il anyway. It would be kind of sing-songy with the Gil-, especially if you did shorten it to a nickname. Like Lilianna Gilmore, Lili Gilmore, Lil Gilmore, Lil Gil.... It's probably just me, but that's my opinion. Hope it all works out and you both find THE name that you both LOVE!

I think it's quite nice pronounced Riley-Anna, but then I think people would always misspell and miss pronounce it which I know for a fact is annoying if it's your own name. You could always just have Riley or Riley-Anna or Riley Anna
