Hi all,

We've been TTC since Dec 31st. I stopped birth control in November (mid-Nov, I believe), and we used condoms til Dec 31st.

In December I had a normal period. In January, I had a period but a very short/light one (it lasted from the 1st-4th). Now (Feb. 9th) I'm still without a period.

If I was still having a 28 day cycle, I would have gotten my period on January 29th. I tested on Feb 5th, but it was negative. Is it likely I tested too early?

Back before birth control, I think I had a 35 day cycle. But even if I have up to a 40 day cycle this month, that would have me starting my period tomorrow... and I have no regular signs of PMS.

This is probably just my cycle sorting itself out again. But do you think I should try testing again if I don't get my period? And if so, when?

You may be pregnant and just tested too soon or maybe you're just going to have a late period, it happens. I usually have a 30 day cycle and one time it was 39 days and I thought I was pregnant, but I wasn't. So just be patient and test again in a few days if you still haven't started.

test again if your period doesnt return
And if it still says neg and your period hasn't returned, then go to the doctor and see what is going on

Well it's been a week and I tested again, but still negative. It's kind of frustrating because I still don't have my period. I will make a doctors appointment and ask her about it.

My aunty was on birth control after she had 2 children, After that she couldnt conceive for 10years.. And then she went to do ivf or ibf not sure what u call it.. And on the day she went there She found out she was pregnant already? Not meaning to be a downer. I just thought i'd share that..
