sore hips
By NatesMummy 1 Year, 11 Months Ago
I'm pregnant with baby number 2 and I'm just on 10 weeks, but for the last week i have been having extreme pain in my right hip, i know its just a nerve being pinched but is there any thing that i can do to help relieve the pain so early on in the pregnancy, its getting to the point where it can take me any where up to 10 minutes to get out of bed in the morning or just get off the couch. and picking up my 2 year old is agony walking can help but only if i have been walking quite a distance but if its just from one room in the house to the next I'm just about in tears.
i don't want to take any painkillers if i can help it

thank you

I spent my entire pregnancy with regular visits to the Chiropractor and the massage therapists. It did absolute wonders for me. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has trouble with constant pain.

That's funny you say that.
my right hip has been giving me extreme grief too! Have you found any good ways to help with the pain without pain killers?
It'd be nice to know any!
Hope all is well

My right hip used to cause me agony and "click" while i while i was pergnant when i walked... it also used to happen after having my son, but has recently gone away with a couple of trips to the physio. She gave me pelvic floor exercises to do.. (drawing your bellybutton towards your spine without actually sucking your tummy in) and it really helped because it apparently strenthens the muscle right around your lower back. Not sure though if your pain is the same as i had because mine was more my lower back/back of hip.. if that makes sense... just above my butt, lol.

That exercise I also had to do as my "six pack muscles" separated because my son weighed 8lb 12oz and i'm not exactly a big girl lol it still hasn't healed 14 weeks after giving birth and most women's heal at 6-8weeks. So i recomend doing this exercise WHILE pregnant as much as possible! It helps with bladder control after giving birth too.

I hope this helps! sorry if i got a bit off topic lol

Shann

still havnt found any thing that will help with the pain in my hip and have found that massage is just too expensive for me and to top it off i cant find any one who does pregnancy massage. though i have found that a hot water bottle does help the pain a bit but not to the extent i need it to and it only helps relax the muscle and nothing else. i'm still finding that the pain in the hip joint is still pain full.
if there is any one who know of any thing that can help please let me know
