I'm the same way when it comes to initials. I don't like my oldest daughters initials: LAB. I wish I had realized that when I named her. I do like my other daughters initials: AMB and JSB. With my new baby I was torn between spelling her middle name Kristine or Christine. The initials were the deciding factor. I think TKB looks much stronger than TCB.

The only good advice i could give you is not to settle for a name you don't truly love. You'll know the right name for your little baby when you hear it. When naming my son there were a few things that I knew i wasn't going to budge on which was the middle name, I wanted him to be named after his late Uncle, and the fact that I wanted his name to be strong and something he could be proud of as an adult. I feel it's good to know what your guidlines and exactly what you want out of a name for your child is befor you even begin looking. Know what you want!

Naming a Baby?
I don't like names that can get short-they sometime change the meaning of the name. A baby name should be clear, easy to spell and to remember, and it should always bring into your mind a great person,. What about Amos, like Amos Oz- the great Israelite writer? It's a lovely name, but don't short into Amy

Pretty much everyone has a name that they love. Or have a style of name that fits them. My thing is if you wouldn't want to be named that, don't name your kid that. Because (I'm getting all scientific)personality is passed through genes, and if you don't like it, make a Punnett square it's not that hard to figure out! Your kid probably won't love it either. And their stuck with it. So that would suck.

i think a good tip would be to pick out names that you and your husband both like and to picture yourself as your child and see if they would like their name.
