Theres 21months between my sister and i and weve always been close. I also have a brother whos 9yrs younger and a sister who is 10 yrs younger than me.

I don't totally agree with that.

My older brother and I are 11 months apart, and people were always comparing me to him when we were younger. Because of this, and the fact that we were often competing, just in general, we didn't have that great of a relationship until we got into our late teens.

My younger sister is four years younger than me, and we've always been super close. It could have something to do with her being another girl, but I don't think so, as my brother is also really close to her. We sort of got to teach and show her things, rather than having to compete with her as well as each other!

I do agree with what someone else said earlier, that it's more a question of what their personalities are like, and how they mesh together. For example, I've always been really close to my mom, but never so much with my dad, just because our personalities are so different.

I have a almost-two-year-old daughter, Michelle, and twin boys on the way, so they'll be relatively close together in age. Weirdly enough, I've actually always wanted a twin of my own though!

Both my brother and sister were 18 years old when my parents had me. My mom was 34 and my dad was 36. Yea, I know a BIG age difference. But we were close and still are. I dont see my sister much she lives maybe 45 minutes away from me. I did use to wish my siblings were closer to my age, because they acted like my parents when I was little. My sister was more of a second mom to me, she would babysit me, change my diapers, and take me everywhere. and my brother really acted like a dad. But I was lonely when I was little because they didn't want to ever play with me because they were to old and had a life going of their own. I would want to have my second child probably when my first is about to start school. Thats not to big of an age difference so you still have some time.
