I'm just wondering because I will be undergoing IVF at some point. There are a lot of people with multiples here and wanted to know if they are the result of IVF or just Mother Nature. Thanks!

with my triplets i had to get a c section, i wanted to have an natural birth with the twins that i am expecting, but the doctor recommended that i get another c section because a natural birth could stretch my scars, and possibly rip them

Thanks Lexi, good to know for the future. I guess I was a little vague on the subject line because I was actually wondering more about the conception end of things. I've heard that IVF increases the chance of having multiples, and wanted to know if people here are pregnant with multiples because of IVF or if there is some other reason?

is it true if your pregnant(in the early stage)and have sex that it can equal having multiples?

I got pregnant with my triplets with IVF! thank god for IVF.

Before I under went IVF I was nervous or excited to see if I would get a high order multiple set and the doctor said that it was rare, usually with IVF its common for twins, triplets and quads.

Mine Was mother nature. I thought i'd be the last person to have twins or triplets. but yeah i'm having triplets.
And i hav no idea how it happened. There is no triplets or twins in my family. My partners mum is a twin and thats all
