I want to call my baby Flora; the last name is Harper. A friend of mine says that "Flora Harper" has too many R sounds and the two A sounds are too near; she suggests that I should avoid the R sound in the first name if there are two R sounds in the last name. What do you guys think?

Doesn't really matter, the name flows nicely. Three r's isn't that bad, and if your last name was Adams then the A's would be a problem, but I think it's fine.

I love the name and I think there's no problem with 'rs' in it!

I've always liked the name Flora since I heard it in the movie "Moll Flanders" starring Robin Wright Penn and Morgan Freeman. Moll names her daughter Flora. I was never brave enough to name my own that though.

Forget your friend. No one is going to go around calling her by her first and last name anyway unless its role call. How often do we EVER hear the name Flora? It's lovely!
