I would like to name my baby after my dad, grampy, and great grandpa because there are no boys in my family to pass on the family name.
What do you all think of naming a boy Patterson.. nickname Terson??

I think Patterson is great! And what a lovely idea.
But I find the nickname Terson quite aggressive. How bout good old Pat?

Of course there is no reason why you can't give your kids a double barrel surname. My best friend got Shervington from Mum and Lamb from Dad to be James Shervington-Lamb....
It kept the Shervington line going through him...
They do it all teh time in Portugal and Spain and think of all the double barrel English names...
Give it a think over...no reason why not
