me and my partner are expecting our first in july and cant decide on the name we havent found out the sex so we need boys and girls. but the delemma i like unusual he likes common names but wen visiting friends after the birth of there son as a joke we said we will just use our last names mine being bailey his being scott but they loved the ideea Bailey ..... Scott any thoughts on this or any other sugestions would be great help .....

Bailey is not my favorite. I'm not trying to be harsh, I've just known a lot of dogs w/ that name. I like Scott. Are you going to use an alternative last name? Just thinking you don't want to name him Scott Scott.

My husband and I had the same trouble with names, I like unique names he likes common names. We came up with a list with his names on one side and my names on the other side and in the middle were names that we both liked or names that we would compromise on. The middle list was a short list but I think it worked well.

I have a huge list of names that I like but from your post I wasn't sure if that was what you were looking for.

I like Bailey! I was thinking of that one but we might use it as a middle name instead, but Bailey is a very cute name and Bailey Scott sounds awesome together!
